Pump Cages are the solution to the problem of running a pond pump without foam, which massively reduces pump maintenance. Particularly ideal for pumps which are primarily used to supply filters and waterfalls.
The Amphibious Pump Cage is specially designed to ensure optimum pump performance. The computer-aided design gives the cage the following benefits: -a very stable platform for the pump on the pond bottom -prevents the pump toppling over. -a high surface area which reduces clogging with large particulate matter, like leaves, whilst allowing softer material (the vast majority of pond waste is soft organic matter or fish waste) to pass into the cage and be pumped out of the pond. -Prevents uptake of large hard particulate matter like stones, which would damage the pump. -Built in handle for easy removal from the pond and easy handling. -Easy access for cleaning and maintenance. -Adjustable cage outlet for different size pump outlets and fittings. -Fits Amphibious, Hydratechs and many other makes of pond pump.

Hydratech Torrent pumps are the latest revolution in solid waste movement pumps. Ideal for running waterfalls and filter. The unique Duplex Magflow Technology enables the Hydratech Torrent pump to deliver the high performance needed by modern pressure filter systems and to run spectacular waterfalls. Hydratech Torrent pumps have synchronous motors that are low wattage so cheap to run, and inherently reliable. A highly effective pond floor intake ensures effective uptake of waste material. All Hydratech Torrent pumps come with a three-year warranty. Unique Duplex Magflow Electronic performance impeller system Normal Magnet drive impellers have very low torque so they are designed to prevent large particles jamming the impeller and stopping the pump. They have a very open face impeller and high clearance all around the impeller to take large particles. The down side to this design is that the impeller cannot get hold of the water and create any pressure, backpressure on the system (head) simply pushes water back through the gaps around the impeller. Duplex Magflow - the snail shell shape of the chamber creates an area of tight tolerance where the impeller can generate significant pressure and higher clearance areas where particles are picked up in the flow. This design is only possible because of the unique self-cleaning action, which operates if a particle does become trapped by the impeller
