Placidochromis Electra Placidochromis Electra

A very well coloured cichlid with red, yellow, blue, green and orange all arranged into the most magnificent off all patterns. These fish can be kept with most other Africans and can be quite peaceful when given their own space.

MudskipperMudskipper

Looking for something completely different? If so then these are definitely for you. These ancient fish are truly amazing to watch, each with their own character, with excellent colouration on the fins.

Albino Tiger BarbAlbino Tiger Barb

These are the best looking Tigers That I Have seen in Years, a nice size and beautiful colouration, I would strongly recommend a shoal no less than ten in stock tanks, as this will show them at their best.

Gold Nugget PlecoGold Nugget Pleco

Probably the nicest of all the catfish and also quite hardy. Easy to keep and can be kept with most fish.

Royal PlecoRoyal Pleco

Probably one of the most sought after of all the pleco species, these fish truly are beautiful specimens that can grow to 24" long, so ideal for a large show tank or public , however at this size they have an appetite to match and need a lot of green foods.

Male Dwarf Gourami XLMale Dwarf Gourami XL

This is one of the best coloured of all the Gourami family, the diagonal red and cobalt blue stripes are lovely. These fish are more suited to the small-medium sized and look very well with plenty of small Tetra’s.

Royal Blue DiscusRoyal Blue Discus

Probably the most majestic of all freshwater aquarium fish between the mixture of markings and coloration, who can blame someone for staring at them in shop tanks for hours on end.
These fish are very susceptible to changes in their environment, so I would recommend these fish only for the slightly more experienced keepers.
Discus prefer a slightly acidic, soft water setup with ph @ 6.5 and 28-31celcius with 1/4 water change every three weeks.
Females spawn on carefully cleaned rocks and leaves; she lays several hundred eggs at once. After the fry have hatched they feed on a secretion produced from the parents skin.
As they are a Cichlid they are very territorial during spawning, otherwise are a very peaceful schooling fish

Angel FishAngel Fish

Probably the most popular of all aquarium fish. Nearly all community tanks have at least one, with their long flowing brightly coloured fins.

FrontosaFrontosa

The frontosa is probably one of the easiest to recognize of all the cichlids, with its zebra type stripes and blue tinged fins it is probably one of the most beautiful. This species is very territorial, but gentle towards other Africans, it rarely burrows and will not harm plants. Prefers moderately alkaline med-hard water with a pH around 8.0 and a hardness around 10dgh and a temperature of 25-28C.
As the frontosa is a mouthbrooder, as many as 50 eggs can be deposited in a cave and then be taken into the females mouth which they can carry for up to six weeks and will, and they will retrieve them into their mouth in times of danger.

Black GuppyBlack Guppy

As with the rest of the Guppy family, a very peaceful fish, which can live alongside most other community fish in the aquarium. A very robust fish, an excellent fish for beginers.

KoiKoi

A coloured form of the standard brown/ green carp, bred to produce many different verities of colour. Sought after all over the world, especially in Asia where in National competitions fish have been sold for up to £150,000 or more

Siamese FighterSiamese Fighter

Family Belontiide are a group of fish well-equipped to breathe atmospheric air at the surface of the water, an accessory breathing organ of a labyrinthine construction is situated behind the gills thus giving this family the collective name of the labyrinth fish.
A Solitary male and two females may be kept with success in the community tank, but if males are kept together fights will occur. These contests of strength seem quite acceptable in the fishes native Thailand where bets are commonly put on the outcome.
The various colour strains of this species are the result of very carefully controlled breeding programs carried out over the years by fish keepers. The colours do not occur in nature where the brightness would be a threat to its safety.

Sailfin MollySailfin Molly

Probably one of the first fish that everyone in the hobby keeps. This very hardy fish comes in all shapes, colours and sizes, from the elegant long flowing fins of the sailfins to the saltwater tolerant black molly. These fish truly are beautiful and are very prolific breeders.

Neon TetraNeon Tetra

Neon's are the jewel of the aquarium as regarded by most people. Many newcomers often make the mistake of keeping this species with fish that will naturally outgrow the neon's, with the predictable result - no neon's. When buying fish always try and find out their eventual fully-grown size.

White Spot TetraWhite Spot Tetra

Native to South America. The beautiful fish are ideal for both very small tanks (10 gallon) and a very large tanks alike. They are very tolerant of fluctuating water conditions. These fish are usually not ssen for sale on the market because of their rarity.

Red PiranhaRed Piranha

A Dangerous schooling fish, when hungry will eat anything alive reducing it to shreds in minutes. Easily kept in a large tank with a strong filter flow, but must be given a steady food supply. To be handled with extreme caution, even in the aquarium they will bite if they fell threatened, if you get bitten its your fault, not the fishes. If kept well fed in your aquarium the fish will become a lot less violent, it is only when they are hungry they will really attack, it is no myth, they will strip large animals to the bone in seconds but mostly because of thousands of piranha schooling together.
